Customize Your Sports Car Dream with Mini Cooper

Owning a Mini Cooper has been a dream of mine ever since seeing The Italian Job. Every great heist movie deserves an iconic car and the sleek Euro design of the Mini fit the bill perfectly.

In 2012 I received a Mini Coupé as a graduation present. I couldn’t believe I owned my own slick little sports car – it completely changed my world for the better. Whereas I used to be the reluctant owner of a clunky van that I could hardly rely upon, my new ride helped me get everywhere I needed to go in style.

It all started when my mum asked me to search online for Mini Coopers for sale UK. It didn’t take long before we found a great deal and moved forward. After years of breakdowns and time spent at the mechanic, I almost had to pinch myself.

Oh, I didn’t mention the best part about my new Mini – I was given the chance to customize it myself. What better way to create a lasting relationship with your car than build it from the ground up? This was the car I always dreamed of.

It starts with choosing your transmission type. For me, a kid who learned who to drive on his parent’s old VW bus, I naturally opted for a manual transmission. Something about it just makes me feel more in tune with the car.

After selecting my transmission, the real customization began. I chose my exterior color – a striking midnight black – and outfitted it with the iconic sport stripes on the hood. It’s the type of look sure to turn more than a few heads.

Next I was able to customize my rims. I’ve never been one to understand what goes into a great looking tire so I sprung for the base options, but it’s nice to know the manufacturer offers more than a few options.

The interior options were mind-boggling. Here I had the ability to select options like cloth, cloth/leather, or leather seats, even customize my interior trim and colour lines. I don’t know any other brand that allows the buyer to put so much personality into their car.

Want to see yourself in your sports car? See for yourself how the customization options on a new Mini Cooper are only getting better. I speak from firsthand experience when I say this makes for the ultimate gift.
