2020 NFL Betting Outlook

We just finished with the draft and the 2020 NFL schedule should be released any day now. So now is the perfect time to start thinking about the odds and who to put your money on this year. Even though we haven’t been able to gamble much these days, except when we are browsing Bob Casino. We can still start to prepare!

Did you know that at the beginning of the season last year, the San Francisco 49ers were ranked near the end of the list in chances of making the Super Bowl? Well, they did, so you know anything is possible and to take these predictions lightly, because as they say…it’s any given Sunday!

Notable Trades

The Kansas City Chiefs came back in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl this past February to win it all against the San Francisco 49ers. However, there have been some changes in the rosters this offseason.

One of the biggest trades talked about is Tom Brady going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Also, notorious tight end Rob Gronkowski recently came out of retirement and was also traded to the Bucs. This should make for an interesting season, especially with the Bucs facing off against Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints twice a season.

Another blockbuster trade involved De’Andre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals while David Johnson went to the Houston Texans. Cardinals quarterback, Kyler Murray, just came off an impressive rookie season, winning Offensive Rookie Player of the Year. And with Larry Fitzgerald returning for another season and the new stellar picks Arizona got in the draft (hello, Isaiah Simmons) the Cardinals might actually be the team to beat in the NFC.

On top of all of that, the Cincinnati Bengals drafted Joe Burrow at the number one spot and sent Andy Dalton to the Dallas Cowboys.

Super Bowl Odds

It is hard to predict who will take home the Lombardi trophy this next season, but we do have a pretty good idea of the teams who will stand out and most likely dominate the playoffs.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens were on fire last season but somehow came up short in the playoffs, even with a first-round bye. But MVP Lamar Jackson will be returning for his 2nd year as a quarterback and you can believe that the Ravens are looking for revenge and will be unstoppable this season.

The Kansas City Chiefs

Of course, the reigning Super Bowl champs have to be in the conversation. They haven’t made too many big changes with their roster and with Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, and Mecole Hardman all returning to offense, we have a feeling that the Chiefs will be returning to the AFC Championship for the 3rd year in a row.

New Orleans Saints

It was shocking to see the Saints lose in the playoffs last season, but Brees is coming back and we are expecting him to be better than ever. Yes, he is aging, but Brees has the experience and skill to be able to take the Saints all the way this year. Not to mention his all-star roster behind him.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles have their eyes on another Super Bowl. Carson Wentz is back at quarterback, but the Eagles also picked up promising young quarterback, Jalen Hurts, in the draft. This gives them additional weapons on their offense. And having DeSean Jackson as their wide receiver can help the Eagles put up yards.

It is going to be an interesting season of the NFL, especially with so much uncertainty looming over. One thing is for sure, we expect them to play ball starting August!
