Game of Thrones Cocktails

Winter is coming – the premiere of Game of Thrones Season 3 is this weekend. We’ve decided to celebrate accordingly by sampling up some of our favorite GoT inspired cocktails. Whether you’re a bastard of the Night’s Watch or an Onion Knight with stubby fingers, there’s something for everyone.

House Stark

  • 2 oz. club soda
  • 1 oz. gin
  • 1/2 oz. St. Germain liqueur
  • splash of creme de menthe

Shake well with ice and strain into chilled martini glass.

House Lannister

  • 2 oz. ginger ale
  • 1 oz. Lillet
  • splash of Goldschläger

Pour ingredients into shaker filled with ice and strain. Garnish with cherry.

House Targaryen

  • 1/4 oz. Maraschino liqueur
  • 1/4 oz. Hum liqueur
  • 1/4 oz. Benedictine & Brandy
  • 2 drops chile-infused vodka

Stir together in highball glass with light ice. 

House Baratheon

  • 2 parts orange juice
  • 1 part champagne

We get it. It’s a mimosa. It’s still delicious.

House Tully

*This recipe makes multiple servings

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (6 to 8 lemons), strained
  • 1 (750-ml) bottle Jamaican amber rum
  • 12 oz. Cognac
  • 1 oz. peach brandy

Stir together sugar and 3 1/2 cups water in large serving bowl or pot until sugar dissolves. Add lemon juice, rum, Cognac and brandy then chill, covered, minimum of 3 hours. Place half-gallon ice block in bowl and pour punch over.

House Tyrell

  • 45ml (9 parts) dry vermouth
  • 15ml (3 parts) Kirsch
  • 10ml (2 parts) cherry brandy

Shake together in cocktail shaker, strain into chilled glass. Garnish and serve.

 Ice and Fire

  • 1.5 oz. cinnamon schnapps
  • 3 oz. shots bourbon
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup Red Hots or other hard cinnamon candy

Shake together in cocktail shaker with ice then pour in tall glass. Garnish with optional cinnamon stick.
